Shern "Shernfire" Tai is a substitute jungler for Dire Wolves.
Born in Malaysia, Shernfire grew up in Australia. He got into video games at an early age due to the influence of the people around him and the fun he could have. He remembers Halo as his first gaming experience, calling it one of his favorite house party games, though his cousin was the person who got him into PC gaming.
Despite not remembering his first League of Legends game fondly, Shernfire persisted and eventually managed to climb the soloqueue ladder.
In October 2014, Shernfire joined Dire Wolves as a substitute.
After leaving Dire Wolves mid-season, Shernfire joined Vortex as a jungler for the NACS Summer Season. However, soon after he arrived in the United States, he was banned from competitive play for the remainder of the 2015 season for Elo boosting.
After Shernfire's ban expired, he joined NA Challenger team Astral Authority for the NACS Open Qualifier. The team made it to the final qualifier round, renaming to Samadder Gaming temporarily before returning to the name Astral Authority. Upon qualifying for the spring season, the roster was acquired by the organization Dream Team. Dream Team finished the season in fifth place, losing an automatic tiebreaker with Team Liquid Academy due to head-to-head record. They missed out on the playoffs but received higher seeding for the summer qualifier due to finishing ahead of Enemy.
