SBENU Korea is a Korean team.

History

2015 Season

In 2015, South Korean footwear company SBENU acquired the roster of Prime Clan, renaming it SBENU Sonicboom before the start of SBENU Champions Summer 2015. The roster consisted of Soul, Catch, do it, SaSin, dan, Nuclear, Secret, and viviD. SBENU performed extremely poorly, only winning one series out of eighteen and placing dead last in their first season. They were forced to play a best of five against Ever in the LCK 2016 Season Spring Promotion to try and keep their spot in the LCK. SBENU played in the 2015 LoL KeSPA Cup where they lost 2-1 in the quarterfinals to SK Telecom T1.

2016 Season

SBENU Sonicboom were considered a dark horse for the 2016 LCK Spring Season particularly due to the acquisition of highly touted rookie jungler Flawless. However, their performance was still poor, going 2-16 in sets and finishing the season in ninth place, forcing them to play relegations matches for their spot in the summer split. SBENU chose ESC Ever as their relegations opponent, but were defeated 3-0, relegating them to Challengers Korea 2016 Summer. During the midseason, SBENU Sonicboom renamed to SBENU Korea, and picked up toplaner Part (now Firetrap), midlaner reM, and support lehends, while SoaR left the team, and SaSin moved to a coaching position.
